It would be impossible to improve on the quality of this 1933 Riddle Sheehan One Pound note. It is superb.
Crisp, with razor sharp edges and strong colour, it is a top quality banknote rarity.
Historically significant this note defined a new era in Australian currency as the first £1 banknote to depict the new ‘Legal Tender’ status of the nation’s paper currency. (With Australia’s departure from the gold standard, banknotes were no longer redeemable in gold.)
Furthermore it was the very last George V One Pound note issued.
In a class of its own
Extremely rare in such immaculate condition
Highly sought after
The 1933 Riddle Sheehan is sought after across all grades. The demand is however the strongest when the notes are presented in the quality being offered here, Uncirculated.
Past performance of investments and other financial matters is no indication of future returns or performance.
